Vamos A La Playa

Today was more of a lazy day. I have lost count of how many steps I have taken since I got here. Today I headed out to get some brunch and then made my way to the beach before heading out to watch some soccer tonight.

As much as I love the beach I need to be careful in the sun. According to Ancestry DNA, my background is essentially from northern Europe, including Ireland, Scotland and Scandanavia. Not really the kind of people who tan. I also had a small skin cancer scare a fews ago, which thankfully turned out to be the one of the most common and nothing to be overly concerned about.

Playa de la Mar Bella is an urban clothing-optional beach near the Poble Nou right in Barcleona. It’s super easy to easy to access using the metro. It’s a good 15 minute walk there but you can stop at one of the many little shops along the way to pick up supplies, including some amazing fresh fruit. There’s also a little beach club, Chiringuito BeGay where you can rent a lounger and get food and drinks.

This was my first time coming to this part of Barcelona and I certainly will again if I need a beach break during a visit.
