Spain is know for it’s artists and there is no shortage of choices as favourites. Before I left for Barcelona I purchased an Articket BCN. It gets you into six museums for 35€ plus you get to skip the line, which is good because some museums need reservations now. You can just swan up to the counter and go in!
As much as I love the work of Picasso, Joan Miró is my favourite. In fact, the Fundació Joan Miró is my favourite museum in Barcelona. I could honestly live there and never tire of the collection. I love the surrealist figures and the bold colours in his works.
The other stop was to an unauthorized exhibition of Banksy’s work, and being unauthorized has caused some controversy. It is also not part of the Articket BCN.
There were lots of pieces I had never seen before and it wasn’t very busy. I quite liked it the collection. Even though I wanted to buy a t-shirt I held back.
