A Rainy Day Visit to the Picasso and MOCO Museums

The weather isn’t great today. I had wanted to hit the beach, but it is more of an indoor kind of day. I put on a jacket and headed to the Picasso Museum, which is part of the Artickect BCN and the new MOCO Museum which is not.

The Picasso Museum had an exhibit on the artist’s Blue Period. There were lots of fascinating pieces that I hadn’t seen before, so it was worth making the trip this time beyond staying warm and dry.

Moco Barcelona is relatively new and a place that I haven’t been to before. I heard about it for the first time yesterday during the street art tour that I had taken. I love that it is in renovated heritage building and has absolutely stunning pieces by Warhol, Basquiat, Kaw, Banksy, and Guillermo Lorca. Very different than the other galleries here.

For the size of the gallery, I did find it a little pricey at  €14.50. It was a throughably enjoyable experience though, including the immersive experiences.
