On past trips to Spain I have certainly taken in flamenco shows, but nothing like this. Ciutat Flamenco in Barcelona is an annual event that brings in interesting acts to peform at local venues. I found it when searching for events during my trip.
One act stood out to me, Los Aurora. They are an all-male flamenco-jazz fusion group and the name of the show was, La Balsa de la Medusa. I quickly found their webpage and listened some of their music and knew that I had made the right choice.
The show was fantastic, I really didn’t want it to end. If you are in Barcelona when this festive is happening, I highly recommending looking through the acts and heading out to a show or two.
